<p>隨著現代思潮的興起，一個個嶄新的教育理念正不斷衝擊我們教育界。教育改革的動向眾所關注，學校教師會、地方教師會、全國教師會的積極運作，由之前的教師派任制改聘任制，到現在的校長遴選制，在在都是為了落實校園的民主精神，活化學校組織的新氣象。<br />一直以來，校長即被認為是學校的領導者；是學校組織氣氛的激勵者；也是學校與社區之間的溝通者，因而一位校長的領導行為左右著校務運作的方式，影響校務發展更不在話下。但是，面臨時代急遽轉型，社會價值多元聚陳之際，有些觀念也應隨之轉變，有些學者專家認為校長應該是「學校教育的專業經理人」，校長的專業地位是不容否認的，但是在觀念上，在作法上，不能輕忽社會型態的轉變，更不能僅以一校之尊自居，要充分融入社會生活，了解教育脈動，才能經營出兼具生命力、活動力及人性化的校園環境來。&nbsp;<br />邁向教育新紀元，著重的是九年一貫課程的實施，人文素養與科技能力之涵融，小班小校、幼扥合一、重視兩性平等教育、營造無性別歧視的教學歷程‧‧‧‧等。由此，我們深知：學校教育是人類心智成長的源泉，是社會進步發展的動力，需要的不僅是真、是善，更是要能不斷的蛻變與更新，方能符應時代需求，再創教育的多贏契機。</p>
